Herbstlich(t)

I'm really happy that I'm able to show you another papercrafting project on the Rubber Dance Art Stamps Blog today. I created a lantern using the gorgeous leaf stamps by Rubber Dance. I'm sure I already told you, that this is one of my favourite stamp sets!

As you can see, I created an autumn lantern. I love little lights in our house when it's getting dark outside. It's to early for christmas decoration, so I thought - why shouldn't I make myself a fall luminary. I created this lantern with the Silhouette Studio. You'll find a link at the end of this post to download the cutting file.

I used the same technique for the leaves which I showed you in my video tutorial of my last post. I'll give you the link at the end of this post.

The luminary is cut with my Silhouette Cameo out of green cardstock. I covered the edges with Distress Crackle Paint Walnut Stain and added some Fran-tage embossing powder aged ochre to let it look a little bit rusty.

I created an opening on the back to insert a LED candle light (please don't add a real candle, you don't want to get a bonfire on your table)

You can checkout the video for the details on how I created my colorful autumn leaves.

You can download the lantern files here: Please do not share these files! Share the link to this blogpost please! I also would love to read your comment! I'll give you some photos on how I build the parts together with my next lantern!

The stamps I used come from this set from Rubber Dance (image is reduced - the stamps are much bigger!) :
