Angel Tag Tutorial with PanPastels

Hi everyone.

I'd like to share a tag tutorial today. I used PanPastels for this one.

Step 1: Color the cardstock with blue and brown:

Step 2: Use the Bubbles stencil together with VersaMark ink, and add another layer of color. The PanPastel pigments will stick to the embossing ink.

Step 3: Add some texture with the "" stamp set.

Step 4: Draw an easy angel image, or use a stamp of your choice. Cut it out and color it with pastel pencils.

Step 5: Cut "happy" with the new CUTplorations die and add some washi tape and black splatters to the tag.

Step 6: Glue your angel down and give him an halo.

Step 7: Finally sew a frame arround the tag. If you don't have a sewing machine you can draw a doodle frame as well.

Thank you for stopping by today. I wish you a wonderful New Year!!!
xx Susanne.

Last Minute Christmas Card

Hi everyone.

Unfortunately I didn't make many Christmas cards this year.  But today I want to share a watercolor card with Rubber Dance Stamps. I used Distress Ink for the Cardbase and Gansai Tambi watercolors for my embellishments. The poinsettia is from the Rubber Dance Cozy Christmas set. I used dies from Sizzix.

I wish you all wonderful Christmas days with your friends and family.

xx Susanne.

Mixed Media Canvas with PanPastels

Hi everyone, I have a mixed media mini canvas tutorial for you today.

Here are the step by step instructions:

 1. Take the large Leaf Bliss stencil and use VersaMark Ink to transfer the pattern onto your canvas.

 2. Use PanPastels to color the background. The pigments will stick to the VersaMark Ink. Add a layer of fixative to seal the PanPastels

 3. Take the little birdie from the Some Birds stencil set and adhere it to the canvas with Gel Medium. You only cover the edges with Gel Medium. This makes sure that the next layer of color will not run under your stencil.

4. Add one or two layers of Gesso and remove the stencil.

5. After the gesso is dry you need to put the bird on your canvas again and also the Tribal Swirsl stencil. Add some gold texture paste to it.

6. Add some doodling with pastel pencils.

Thanks for stopping by today,
Susanne.

Mixed Media ATC - Tutorial

Hi everyone!
I like to share this mixed media Artist Trading Card (ATC) today.. I have a step by step tutorial for you:

1. Take a piece of card board and remove some of the front surface. That works easy when you wet it before. Prime it with gesso and emboss the group of butterflies with Opaque Bright White powder.

2. Use Twinkling H2Os or other shimmering watercolors to color the background. The embossing resists the watercolor and the butterflies pop.

 3. While your card dries you'll have time to create the embellishments. I picked two of the middle sized butterflies and embossed them with Metallic Gold Rich Powder. After that I colored each butterfly with Distress Inks.

 4. Add more interest to the background with the script stamp using a permanent black ink.

 5. Use the WOW! Embossing Pen to add Iced Silver Powder into some of the creases. The dots on the sides of the card are embossed with Metallic Gold Rich. Finally paint the edges with the Gelato Pen Black Licorice and smooth the color with your fingers.

6. Use some black ink to add color splatters, decorate the card with the two butterflies and some black thread. I used my Dymo tool to write "FLY".
