Mixed Media Monolith with Visible Image Stamps

Hallo meine lieben Visible Image Freunde.
Heute möchte ich Euch einen anderen MDF Monolith zeigen. Ich finde diese Aufsteller einfach toll. Sie eignen sich prima für Mixed Media Werke. Super ist auch, dass man sie beidseitig dekorieren kann. Für mein Design verwendete ich das "Sparkle In The Rain" Stempelset mit einer Embossing-Resist Technik.
Die Monoliths grundiere ich immer mit Gesso.

Today I wanna share another mdf monolith with you. I really like these stand alone mdf blanks. They are perfect for mixed media. Another cool fact is, that you can decorate both sides and turn it arround just as you like it. I used the awesome "Sparkle In The Rain" stamp set with an embossing resist technique and also some stenciling.
I always prime the monoliths completely with gesso.

Nachdem ich den Hintergrund mit den Gelatos und der Tim Holtz Hearts Schablone gestaltet habe, embosste ich das Mädchen mit klarem Enamel. Das Embossing bewirkt, dass meine nächste Lage mit dem schwarzen Gelato sich um das Hauptmotiv herum bewegt. Mit einer Sternenschablone von The Crafter's Workshop entfernte ich wieder etwas von der Farbe.
After I created the background with Gelatos and the Tim Holtz Hearts stencil, I embossed the girl with clear embossing enamel. The embossing builds a resist so that my next layer which was made with the black Gelato goes arround the girl. I used a star stencil from The Crafters Workshop to remove some of the color to get more texture. Finally I stamped my sentiment with gold embossing powder.

Hier ist die Rückseite. Sie ist recht einfach gehalten. Das Hauptmotiv habe ich mit schwarzer StazOn Tinte auf den Gelatos-Hintergrund gestempelt.
Here is the back. It's really simple. I stamped the main image with black StazOn onto the Gelatos background.

Mixed Media Canvas

Hallo alle zusammen.
Heute möchte Ich Euch diese Mixed Media Leinwand zeigen. Gestaltet hab ich diese mit einer selbst geschnittenen Schablone. Die Datei dafür ist aus dem Silhouette Design Store und geschnitten hab ich natürlich mit der Cameo. Die Maske ist aus Mylar, das bekommt Ihr im gut sortierten Air Brush Shop. Der Hintergrund der Leinwand ist mit den Gelatos gestaltet. Anschließend befestigte ich die Hirschmaske mit Gel Medium. Ihr streicht einfach die Kanten mit Gel Medium ein und lasst sie trocknen. Das verhindert, dass beim drüber malen mit Gesso, die Farbe unter die Maske läuft.

I like to share this mixed media canvas today. I used a homemade stencil to create the deer. The cutting file is from the Silhouette Design Store and I cut it with the Silhouette Cameo. I used Mylar for the mask. The background of the canvas is made with the Gelatos. I adhered the deer temporary with Gel Medium before I covered everything with Gesso. This avoids that the gesso goes under the mask.

Mit einer weiteren Schablone (The Crafter's Workshop) kommt goldene Strukturpaste über das getrocknete Bild. Der Hirsch wird dazu wieder maskiert. Mit Hilfe der Hischschablone kann man später nur auf das Tier stempeln.
I used another stencil (The Crafter's Workshop) for the gold texture paste. I mask the deer again before I add the paste. Later you can use the deer stencil to stamp only onto the animal.

Damit ein wenig Urlaubsstimmung, trotz des kalten Wetters, einkehrt hab ich diese Leinwand gestaltet. Ein Video dazu findet Ihr am Ende des Posts. Alle Stempel sind von Rubber Dance, Sheena Douglas und Viva Las Vegas Stamps.

Dunja feiert Blog-Geburtstag

und dazu möchte ich erst einmal herzlich gratulieren! 7 Jahre, das ist eine ganz schön lange Zeit!
Dunja hat sieben Ihrer Freunde gebeten an einem Geburtstags Blog Hop teilzunehmen. Ich freue mich sehr, dass ich dazu eingeladen bin und möchte passend zum Moodboard mein Werk zeigen.

It's Dunja's blog anniversary today and I want to wish her a HAPPY BIRTHDAY! 7 years are a really long time! Dunja asked seven of her friends to join her anniversary blog hop and I am really happy she invited me! Here is the moodboard and my creation:

Für den Hintergrund meines Tags hab ich Designpapierreste verwendet und diese mit Gel Medium befestigt. Anschließsend kam eine dünne Schicht Gesso drüber. Mit etwas Farbe, einigen Stempeln und Struktur hab ich den Hintergrund noch etwas aufgepeppt. Die Stempel sind von Rubber Dance und Sheena Douglas.

I used paper scraps for the background of my tag and adhered them with Gel Medium. After this was dry I covered it with a thin layer of gesso. I added more interest with some color, stamps and texture. The stamps are form Rubber Dance and Sheena Douglas.

Die schönen Zweige sind mit einer Stanzschablone von Cottage Cutz entstanden. Die Blumen sind Stanzen von Marianne Design. Um der Libelle noch etwas mehr Pepp zu verleihen hab ich sie mit Glossy Accents überzogen.

The branches are dies from Cottage Cutz. The flowers come from Marianne Design. To add more bling to my dragonfly I covered it with Glossy Accents.
