STAMPlorations Blog Hop

Hi everyone!

There's a blog hop today over at the stamplorations blog to celebrate the new release of the wonderful Motivate typografia Series.
I am joining the fun with these three creations.

For this tag I worked on a Distress Oxide background that was created on photo paper. I added some texture with the large Leaf Bliss stencil to it.

This ATC is created on a "normal" Distress Oxide background. To let the sentiment pop even more I added some glitter with a Nuvo shimmer pen.

Finally I have to share an art journal page in one of my mini envelope art journals.

I used WOW! opaque bright white powder together with Brushos to create an underwater background, with the bubbles. I embossed the cute creatures with different WOW! powders and coloured them with Brushos. I love that I didn't have to cut them out, because their are dies that are coordinating with these lovely stamps.

 

I arranged my elements and prepared a shaker window. I filled my card with tiny beads and WOW! Sparkles.

The sentiment is also stamped with WOW!  "Oceanic".

ARTplorations Stencil Blog Hop - Watercolor Art Journal Page

STAMPlorations Typografia CHRISTMAS - Blog Hop

Hello and welcome to the STAMplorations Typografia CHRISTMAS Blog Hop!

STAMPlorations has released some awesome Typografia stamps recently and today we want to show you samples with the Christmas themed ones.

Here are my inspirational pieces:

Lets start with a Christmas card. I used the stamp together with Memento Luxe Wedding Dress on some black cardstock to achieve a chalk board look. I love chalkboard and Christmas combined together. 

Matching the chalkboard card I have a chalky gift tag. In addition to the stamped images I used the ARTplorations mini stars stencil for some extra texture.

Last but not least I have a very colourful version of a Christmas tag with kind of a mixed media style. I used bonding powder together with gold foil for this stamped image. The foiled parts act as a resist to any kind of watercolours. So I used Brusho Powders to colour the background. I cut some stars from old book paper to add some more interest to the tag.

This is how you can make the backgrounds for these cards:

I made two gelli prints with black acrylic paint and the lovely Flower stencils. The first print is the one in the middle, the second is the ghost print on the right. The left one is where I've cleaned the stencils. I didn't use this for my cards, but I save it for later.

Now I added water with a spray bottle and Brusho powders. I used purple, gamboge, olive green, sea green and orange. I cut the backgrounds for my cards with a stitched frame die and build the cards together.

I embossed the kraft card base with WOW! Black Glint powder and a stamp from STAMPlorations. I adhered my Brusho background at an angle with foam dots. Finally I added the sentiment.

I cut the sentiment with the Tim Holtz Word Block dies from Sizzix from some Brusho - scrap paper.
