Hi everyone.
Today I'd like to share a mixed media wall hanger with the awesome dragonfly stamp from Visible Image Stamps. I am very proud of it because it is published in the latest Craft Stamper Magazine (03/16).
I love to recycle old things in my work and give them a new lease of life. Here I used some old cardboard as my base. I added a shabby look by painting it lightly with gesso. I used some script design paper, which is also painted with gesso as my first layer. I used texture paste and Distress Glitter in the back as well as some colour splatters. I added Prima Micro Beads "Splash" for more interest. The wings of the dragonfly are softly colored with Distress Inks and covered with some Gloss Gel. I used dies from Die-Namites and CAS-ual Fridays.
The sentiment of the "Live in the Moment" stamp set is embossed with black powder. I colored the background with Distress Ink "Peacock Feathers".
Schön, dass Ihr vorbei geschaut habt.
Thanks for stopping by, Susanne.

congrats for your publication, love your wall hanger
ReplyDeleteThis is very, VERY pretty! You did a great job of combining a variety of textures and elements here. I especially love the fuzzy handle and how you included so many rustic, earthy details. It looks amazing and I'm not surprised it's being published! You did a wonderful job and I'm so glad you shared this with us for this week's Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge!
ReplyDeleteGorgeous tag! Love the dragonfly image hovering over the bursts of bright spring green. The blue and green combo is lovely, and I especially like how you made your tag out of cardboard! So glad you joined us to recycle/upcycle this week at Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge!
