Mirrored Stamp Image

Ich hab mal wieder eine easel Karte gemacht und dazu einige Stempel aus der "Vintage Birds" Serie von Rubber Dance verwendet. Und ja, es ist nur ein Kolibri beim Set dabei und ich habe trotzdem zwei Vögelchen die in eine andere Richtung schauen. Natürlich verrate ich Euch, wie das funktioniert.

I created an easel card using some of the stamps from the Vintage Birds set from Rubber Dance. Yes there comes only one hummingbird in this set and I stamped two of them looking in different directions. Of course I'll show you how I did that at the End of this post.

Für den Aquarellhintergrund hab ich meine Neocolor II Kreiden verwendet. Der Vogelkäfig ist von Spellbinders. Die Blumen sind Stanzschablonen von Marianne Design und Die-Namics.

I used my Neocolor II pastels to create the watercolor background. The birdcage is a die from spellbinders.The flower dies are from Marianne Design and Die-Namics.

Um nochmal auf die Kolibris zu kommen. Am besten funktioniert das mit der Gelli Plate. Solltet Ihr keine haben, könnt ihr auch einen normalen Acrylblock verwenden. Da wird der Abdruck aber nicht so scharf.

Let's come back to the birdies! The best way you can mirror your stamp is by using the gelli plate. If you don't have one you can do it with an acrylic block as well, but the image will not be so crisp as the original. Here is what I did:

Den Vogel stempel ich mit Memento Luxe Pigmenttinte auf die Gelli Plate. Da Pigmenttinte sehr langsam trocknet hat man keine Eile. Nun drücke ich ein Stück Cardstock auf den Vogel und voilà:

I stamped the birdie onto my gelli plate. I used Memento Luxe pigment ink. It dries really slow so there is no hurry. I pressed a piece of cardstock onto the bird and voilà:

 Beide Vögel hab ich mit clear Embossingpulver embossed. Das ist das tolle an Pigmenttinte, man hat genug zeit um das gespiegelte Bild auch noch zu embossen. Da ich die Vögel ausgeschnitten habe sieht man am Ende fast keinen Unterschied.

I embossed both birdies with clear embossing powder. That's also great about pigment ink, you have time to emboss the mirrored image! As I cut the birdies out there is nearly no difference at the end.
