About this series:
I'm sharing some of my intuitive art journal spreads in this series. All videos will NOT be part of any Design Team work. I pick the supplies that I wanna use right in this moment.
Art Journaling is a very big part of my creative life. It means, I find time to get some mental relief, I write down the thoughts or quotes that are imortant for me.
Creating in my journal is also some kind of art practicing. I learn a lot about the different mediums, I am using, and I develope new ideas to use in prospective work.

Of course I will always give you a list of supplies. I know how frustrating it is, if you see a tool in a video and can't find out what it is. You will find the supplies in the video description.

I hope I can give you some inspiration. Art journaling doesn't have to be perfect!!! The result must have a meaning to YOU.
Your body needs movement your soul needs colours, patterns and words - no perfection!

If you are interested in the first video check out the playlist here.

Art Journal Page Tutorial

Hi there!

It's a long time ago since I've been posting a full tutorial directly on my blog! Today I'd like to share a step by step process for this art journal page:

Here is what I've done:

Add some old book paper with DecoArt Media Matte Medium and cover it with a thin layer of Gesso.

Add DecoArt Media Fluid Acrylics to the page. Use a kitchen cloth to add some texture.

Add a little bit more colour. Use a baby wipe to remove it in some areas.

Stamp the tree (stamp comes from Visible Image) onto Tissue paper and adhere it with Gel Medium. Add more texture with stamps directly onto the page with StazOn inks. Finally add some gold Fluid Acrylics.

Add some more colour with Faber-Castell Oil Pastels. Blend the paint with your fingers.

Add a little more stamping to finish it up.

In addition to Visible Image stamps I used stamps from Rubber Dance and Viva Las VegaStamps!.
I hope you like it!
xx Susanne.

Supplies:
DecoArt Media:
Fluid Acrylics (Green Gold, Pyrrole Red, Dioxazine Purple, Gold Metallic)
Matte Medium
Gesso
Stamps:

Rubber Dance

Mixed Media Card with Visible Image

Good Morning my dear crafty friends!

As every week on saturday I am sharing a project with the wonderful Visible Image stamps. I picked the Live Life Now and the Where Dreams Take You set for my card this time.
I worked on watercolor paper and started by stamping the butterfly image two times with VersaMark Ink. I grabbed the sentiment and stamped it with Memento Luxe Espresso Truffle. Now I needed to be very quickly: I added clear embossing powder (I used WOW!) on top. After I heat set my impressions I colored my card with Brusho Crystal Colours. I love those high pigmented powders. They are awesome and it is always a surprise what your creation will look like.

I hope you are having a nice and creative weekend!
xx Susanne.

Mixed Media Tag with Visible Image Stamps

Hi everyone!

I'm sharing a mixed media tag today with the funny "Tweedledum Tweedledee" stamp set from Visible Image Stamps. My base tag is cut from a Brusho coloured background. I stamped the sentiment stamps from the set with low pressure on top. The edges are inked with Distress Ink Black Soot. I added some images from the Ink Splats background set. For some more texture on top, I used a crackle stencil together with embossing paste.

The main image is coloured with Distress Inks. I stamped it on white cardstock, cut it out and adhered it to the tag. I sewed around the edges to finish it up.

Thank you for stopping by today,
xx Susanne.

Art Journal Page with Visible Image Stamps

Hi my dear Visible Image Friends.

I'm sharing an art journal spread today. I used the "Visometry" stamp set to add texture to my background. I love the clear geometric shape as a contrast to the wild and mixed-up base.
My main image is the butterfly from the "Live Life Now" set. I embossed it with WOW! Turkish Nights glitter.

I used the "Life is for Living" sentiment as my journaling.

Thank you for stopping by today!
xx Susanne.
