My Mixed Media Thoughts #13 - Whimsical Girl
Hi my dear art journal friends!
I hope you had wonderful Christmas days with your families!!! It's time for a new video in my series "Mixed Media Thoughts". It's already part 13! Unbelieveable. I am feeling as if I just started with this. Time flies...
Enjoy watching my video:
Thanks for stopping by today!!!
xx Susanne.
Supplies:
Gelli Printed Deli Paper
Gel Medium
Gesso
Neocolor Crayons
Watercolor Pencil
Pastel Pencils
White Acrylic Paint
Rubber Dance Background Stamps (rubberdance.com)
About this series:
I'm sharing some of my intuitive art journal spreads in this series. All videos will NOT be part of any Design Team work. I pick the supplies that I wanna use right in this moment.
Art Journaling is a very big part of my creative life. It means, I find time to get some mental relief, I write down the thoughts or quotes that are imortant for me.
Creating in my journal is also some kind of art practicing. I learn a lot about the different mediums, I am using, and I develope new ideas to use in prospective work.
Of course I will always give you a list of supplies. I know how frustrating it is, if you see a tool in a video and can't find out what it is. You will find the supplies in the video description.
I hope I can give you some inspiration. Art journaling doesn't have to be perfect!!! The result must have a meaning to YOU.
Your body needs movement your soul needs colours, patterns and words - no perfection!
If you are interested in the first video check out the playlist here.

I have a watercolor tag to share with you today. It's stencil sunday over at the STAMPlorations blog.
It's the first time I've tried this technique. I left the stencil on the wet watercolor background until it was dry. This adds a very interesting texture to it.
My main images are the Trendy Spring Blooms from STAMPlorations. I stamped them with Distress Oxide inks and cut the coordinating dies from DCWV gold foil cardstock.
I added some stamping to the background for more interest.
xx Susanne.
Thanks for stopping by today.
Come back tomorrow! My "Mix It Monday" video is sponsored by STAMPlorations this week. I have an easy idea to share on how to break a blank page!
